CASE PRICE Can you believe this Monkeemobile 1:18 Scale Die-Cast Metal Vehicle? The Monkees had killer tunes and clever lines, and as we all know, they cruised around in a pretty sweet ride, too. The Monkeemobile was one of the most desired custom cars of Sixties television. Created by car customizer Dean Jeffries, the Monkeemobile began life as a 1966 Pontiac GTO before it was chopped, tweaked, and twisted! Its original design featured a huge 6-71 supercharger fitted to the exposed engine giving the car so much horsepower that the TV cast found it hard to control! Later, this setup was reduced to a mock supercharger mounted over the stock Pontiac engine. Two Monkeemobiles were constructed - #1 was used on the TV show while #2 was built as a back-up car and stunt car if needed. Its main job would be the show car circuit of the 60s. Life-size stand-ups of all four Monkees traveled with the show car and were displayed alongside the car. Auto World is proud to recreate this zany die-cast pop culture icon, including the cutouts of the "Prefab Four."

Spad XIII , S.7714, Captain Robert Soubiran A French-born American citizen, Robert Soubiran felt it was his duty to go and fight for the country of his birth at the start of the First World War, travelling to France at his own expense, to join the French Foreign Legion on his arrival. He joined with fellow future Lafayette Escadrille pilots James Bach, Bert Hall, Kiffin Rockwell, Paul Rockwell and William Thaw and served with the 2nd Foreign Regiment in the Battle of Champagne, with the 170th Line Infantry Regiment. Injured during the fighting in October 1915, he spent four months recuperating, during which time he applied for and was accepted into the French Service Aeronautique, graduating on 20th October 1916 and joining Escadrille Américaine two days later. Around one year of combat flying later, Soubiran was awarded the Croix de Guerre with Palm for actions covering an attack against German Drachen balloons, where he was credited with his only aerial victory of the war. He transferred to the 103rd Pursuit Squadron US Army Air Service following America's entry into the war, where he continued to fly combat missions, eventually rising to the position of Commanding Officer. One of the first American nationals to arrive in France in 1914, Soubiran was also one of the last to leave in 1919 following the end of the war, having accumulated over 400 hours of combat flying.

Mitchell and produced by Supermarine, the Spitfire was designed with remarkably thin elliptical wings with the thinnest possible cross-section, which enabled it to travel at speeds that exceeded those of other aircraft fighters of its time. Equipped with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, and 8 x 0.303" Browning machine guns, the Spitfire was a fast and maneuverable fighter and was the only fighter aircraft to be in continual production and development before, during and after the war.During the Battle of Britain, which was the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces, the Spitfire was part of an important battle tactic, where the Spitfire squadrons were sent up to engage the German fighter escorts, leaving the Hurricane to attack the German bombers. The spitfire Mk IIa, serial P7966 D-B "Manxman" was the aircraft of Wing Commander Douglas Bader, a RAF Fighter Ace, when he started leading the Tangmere Wing in March of 1941. The P7966 was one of the first to carry CO Bader's initials on the fuselage instead of standard code markings.
