At the time, no other combat plane could go as far, fly as high, or go as fast as the P-51D. In 1944 the Mustang was recognized as the best single seat long rage escort fighter. Over 15,000 P-51s were produced. The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American aviators in the United States armed forces who fought during World War II. This Die-cast Metal airplane model comes in 1:100 scale with plastic stand and model is approximately 4 inches long with 4 1/2 inch wingspan.
