CASE PRICE Prominently featured in the 1980 Universal Pictures film The Blues Brothers, this 1974 Dodge Monaco was a decommissioned Mount Prospect police car, purchased by Elwood Blues at an auction after he traded a previous car (a 1968 Cadillac Sixty Special) for a microphone. When describing the car to his brother Jake Blues, Elwood says, "Its got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. Its got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. Its a model made before catalytic converters, so itll run good on regular gas." CASE PRICE Can you believe this Monkeemobile 1:18 Scale Die-Cast Metal Vehicle? The Monkees had killer tunes and clever lines, and as we all know, they cruised around in a pretty sweet ride, too. The Monkeemobile was one of the most desired custom cars of Sixties television. Created by car customizer Dean Jeffries, the Monkeemobile began life as a 1966 Pontiac GTO before it was chopped, tweaked, and twisted! Its original design featured a huge 6-71 supercharger fitted to the exposed engine giving the car so much horsepower that the TV cast found it hard to control! Later, this setup was reduced to a mock supercharger mounted over the stock Pontiac engine. Two Monkeemobiles were constructed - #1 was used on the TV show while #2 was built as a back-up car and stunt car if needed. Its main job would be the show car circuit of the 60s. Life-size stand-ups of all four Monkees traveled with the show car and were displayed alongside the car. Auto World is proud to recreate this zany die-cast pop culture icon, including the cutouts of the "Prefab Four."

In this case, no political figure was stepping down but rather Pontiac's sportster of the same name. "He wanted one his whole life but couldn't swing it financially,' recalls his wife, Mary. "Realizing this would be his last chance to get one, he figured he should get moving." In April of 1971, the lovebirds swung by Hansord Pontiac, in Minneapolis, only to be greeted with a terrible announcement: they were too late. "The sales staff said sadly we had missed the boat in getting in an order,' recalls Mary. Officially, the Judge was discontinued in February and here it was nearly a month later. He wanted to turn Ford's secretary sports car into a track champion. So, Ford sent him three white K-code 1965 Mustangs. Serial number 5R002 would become the very first GT350R prototype and is arguably the most important Mustang in history! 5R002 would have multiple parts tested on it with drivers such as Ken Miles and Bob Bondurant behind the wheel, fenders widened by hand, the famous rear window designed by Peter Brock that let air escape, reverse hood scoop, and so much more! 5R002, aka the "Flying Mustang", would win its first race it ever entered on February 14,1965 with Ken Miles piloting the car to victory. Miles and others would compile 10 wins with 5R002 throughout the season with Jerry Titus capturing the SCCA B Production Championship for 1965!
