Its original design featured a huge 6-71 supercharger fitted to the exposed engine giving the car so much horsepower that the TV cast found it hard to control! Later, this setup was reduced to a mock supercharger mounted over the stock Pontiac engine.Two Monkeemobiles were constructed — #1 was used on the TV show. #2 was built as a back-up car and stunt car if needed. Its main job would be the show car circuit of the 60s. Produced by North American Aviation it was used extensively against the Soviet MiG-15 in high-speed aerial dogfights during the Korean War (1950–1953). Considered one of the best and most important fighter aircraft in that war, the F-86 is also rated highly in comparison with fighters of its generation. Although it was developed in the late 1940s and outdated by the end of the '50s, the Sabre proved versatile and adaptable. Aircraft continued to serve as a front-line fighter in numerous air forces until 1990’s.The F-86 Sabre "MIG MAD MARINE" was Maj. John Glenn’s jet-fighter. John Herschel Glenn, Jr. was a U.S. Marine Corps pilot who flew with the U.S. Air Force’s 51st Fighter Wing as an exchange pilot. He actually named his assigned aircraft “Lyn Annie Dave” for his wife and two kids but did not see much action. The flight crew surprised him with a new paint job, a big red M with letters trailing off it to read "MIG MAD MARINE" to change his luck. He shot down three MiGs near the Yalu River in the last 2 weeks of the war.After Korean War John Glenn (Colonel. USMC. Ret.) went on to be a test pilot, an astronaut and US Senator.

B-24 LIberator - Witchcraft Postage Stamp CollectionThe B-24 Liberator is an American four-engine, twin-tail heavy bomber, designed by Consolidated Aircraft. It was the most-produced American military aircraft, with 18,493 units made. It was used extensively in World War II in every branch of the American armed forces.The B-24J Liberator “Witchcraft” entered World War II in April, 1944 and was assigned to the 467th Bomb Group, 790 Bomb Squadron. “Witchcraft” flew an amazing record of 130 combat missions during World War II. The number proudly displayed on its nose art. It has the proud history of always completing her mission, and never had any crewmen injured or killed. The Collings Foundation currently operates a fully restored B-24 in “Witchcraft” colors, in honor of the veterans of the World War II. It is the only fully authentic B-24J aircraft still flying, the star of the Wings of Freedom Flight Experience Tour that visits over 100 cities nationwide. This Die-cast metal airplane model comes in 1:163 scale with plastic stand.
