Berejik Olds - 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30 Limited Edition - Estimated Production 500 pcs Features and Details: • Opening doors, trunk, and hood • Poseable steering • Plumbed and wired engine • Tilting front seats • Detailed undercarriage • Seralized plate first sample images - final product will vary slightyDick Smothers, of the Tom and Dick Smothers comedy team, was the driving force behind their hit television series and their racing ventures. Hurst's Shifty Doctor, Jack Watson, helped prepare the Smothers' car. With a cameraman and equipment on board, Dick netted a 12.99 on his third pass in the car. George Berejik received a call from the Smothers brothers' lawyer prior to the 1971 NHRA Nationals, telling him that he had been dropped by the Smothers and that the Smothers name and logo had to come off the car. The Berejik team went to Indy and paid $600 to have the name and logo removed. They finally got to the gates, where the Smothers were waiting and told them that the lawyer was misinformed and to get the lettering back on the car. Berejik then spent $700 to have the name repainted! The Smothers deal lasted until the end of the 1971 season, when Oldsmobile pulled the plug. Loyed "Woody" Woodland, seen here running F/SA at Maple Grove, banged off 11.60s on a 12.20 F/S record!

CASE PRICE Prominently featured in the 1980 Universal Pictures film The Blues Brothers, this 1974 Dodge Monaco was a decommissioned Mount Prospect police car, purchased by Elwood Blues at an auction after he traded a previous car (a 1968 Cadillac Sixty Special) for a microphone. When describing the car to his brother Jake Blues, Elwood says, "Its got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. Its got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. Its a model made before catalytic converters, so itll run good on regular gas." The sedan could perform seemingly impossible stunts, such as flipping backwards in midair and even "flying" for very brief periods of time. Clearly unimpressed, especially considering the cigarette lighter does not work, Elwood slams on the gas and jumps over an open drawbridge. Jake nonchalantly states, "Cars got a lot of pickup." Elwood retorts, "So what do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?" Jake replies, "Fix the cigarette lighter." Auto World proudly presents a detailed replica of the Bluesmobile with the loudspeaker mounted on the roof that Jake and Elwood broad-casted their upcoming "Blues Extravaganza" fund raising concert. True-to-life figures of The Blues Brothers, Elwood and Jake, are included. Dont pass up the chance to own the Blues Brothers 1974 Dodge Monaco Police Pursuit 1:18 Scale Die-Cast Metal Vehicle!
