It's the one muscle car that stands out for being the first American muscle car to demand north of the million dollar mark at auction (in 2014). But the status of the Hemi Cuda is not new; it has long been lusted for as a legendary muscle car with sinister looks and the power to back it up. First, yes, it's In Violet paint (commonly referred to as Plum Crazy), that wild and eye-grabbing '70s pop-culture hue that practically defined Mopar performance machinery. Both models have white seating and door panels with black dashboard and carpet. Under the hood you'll find the 383 Big Block Wedge powerplant which was designed to be a great combination of thrift and performance. Few Detroit muscle machines had the same impact as the 1971 Cuda with lightning acceleration, flamboyant paint and styling.

He is known as "Big Daddy" to drag racing fans around the world. Always a pioneer in the field of drag racing, he perfected the rear-engine "top fuel dragster design", an innovation motivated by the loss of part of his foot in a dragster accident. This design was notably safer, since it put most of the fuel processing and rotating parts of the dragster behind the driver. The driver was placed in "clear air," in front of nearly all the mechanical components, thus protecting the driver and allowing him to activate a variety of safety equipment in the event of catastrophic mechanical failure or a fire. Garlits was also an early promoter of the full-body, fire-resistant driver's suit - complete with socks and gloves, often branded as Nomex. Garlits was the first drag racer to officially surpass the 170, 180, 200, 240, 250, and 270 miles per hour marks in the quarter mile; he was also the first to top 200 in the 1/8 mile. He has been inducted into several Halls of Fame and has won many awards during his career.

Monkeemobile - Red Body with Flat White Roof and Monkees GraphicsMade of diecast metalFeatures Include:• Opening doors and hood• Accurate interior and chassis• Steerable front wheels• Detailed engineThe Monkees had killer tunes and clever lines, and as we all know, they cruised around in a pretty sweet ride, too. The Monkeemobile was one of the most desired custom cars of Sixties television.Created by car customizer Dean Jeffries, the Monkeemobile began life as a 1966 Pontiac GTO before it was chopped, tweaked, and twisted! Its original design featured a huge 6-71 supercharger fitted to the exposed engine giving the car so much horsepower that the TV cast found it hard to control! Later, this setup was reduced to a mock supercharger mounted over the stock Pontiac engine. Two Monkeemobiles were constructed — #1 was used on the TV show. #2 was built as a back-up car and stunt car if needed. Its main job would be the show car circuit of the 60s. Life-size stand-ups of all four Monkees traveled with the show car and were displayed along side the car.Auto World is proud to recreate this zany die-cast pop cuture icon, including the cutouts of the “Prefab Four”.

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible in Laurel Green MetallicMade of diecast metalFeatures Include:• Opening doors and hood• Accurate interior and chassis• Steerable front wheels• Detailed engineFor the final year of the Tri-Fives, Chevrolet designers added an exclamation point to the already-popular full-size 1955 and 1956 Chevy Bel Air. The swept lines became longer, the fins grew larger, and the front grill was nothing short of bold...and GOLD. The 1957 Chevy Bel Air became one of the most recognizable cars in the entire car industry. In fact, it became an icon of an entire era. Over 65 years later, there are few things more quintessentially American than baseball, mom’s apple pie, or a 1957 Chevy Bel Air.The 1957 Bel Air was only available with a V8. Only two carbureted versions were offered initially: a 162hp dual-barrel or a 180hp four-barrel. Later in the year, a larger 283 V8 was released, also with a four-barrel carb, making 220hp. The ultimate option was the rare and expensive fuel-injected 283 shared with the Corvette making 283hp. These were dubbed “fuelies”.

1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Hardtop in Matador RedFeatures Include:• Opening doors, hood and trunk• Accurate interior and chassis• Steerable front wheels• Detailed engine The Pontiac Grand Prix entered its second generation with an all-new redesign for 1969. It wasn’t just a refresh of the 1968s, it was a complete ground-up rework of the giant muscle-yacht. It was a purpose-built car as envisioned by John Deloreon, the general manager of GM’s Pontiac Motor Division of the time. Deloreon wanted to capture the entire experience of old luxury marques like Duesenberg, Cadillac, and Packard of the 1930s. Monikers like J and SJ, properly befit the Grand Prix name.Royal Pontiac, of Royal Oak, MI was already well known to enthusiastically dabble in the domain of Pontiac performance. The Grand Prix was no exception, despite its massive size. With a hood-mounded tachometer, Royal optioned these 4000lb cars with the 428 H.O. 4bbl engine rated at 390hp. They spun the same camshaft as the Ram Air III engine in the GTO with compression of 10.75:1. It was a formidable machine on the street, but didn’t look the part. Many “muscle” cars that dared to challenge were only viewed in the Grand Prix’s rear view. Only 12 of these Matador Red Royal Bobcat Grand Prix models were ever built in 1969.

1949 Mercury Eight Coupe in Berwick GreenMade of diecast metalFeatures Include:• Opening doors, and hood• Accurate interior and chassis• Steerable front wheels• Detailed engineThe first postwar Mercury was introduced in the 1949 model year. The flathead V8 was upped to 255 CID and now producing 110 horsepower—slightly more power than the also newly designed 1949 Ford Coupe. A new overdrive system was optional, activated by a handle under the dash. The Mercury Eight used full instrumentation found in round dials, two on either side of the large central speedometer, and an optional eight-tube radio and electric clock were centered on the dashboard. The styling of the Mercury Eight, when it was released in 1949, adopted the “pontoon” appearance, and was successful in both ending the monotony of warmed-over pre-war style, and differentiating Mercury from its comparable Ford cousin, a trick that spelled sales success. The 1949 Mercury Eight production totaled an astounding 301,307 units, far and away Mercury's best ever year.

Monopoly - 1963 Volkswagen Beetle - Free Parking in Yellow Made of diecast metalFeatures Include:• Opening doors, hood, and trunk• Accurate interior and chassis• Steerable front wheels• Detailed engine In the traditional Monopoly rulebook, the Free Parking space is a place to hang out for a turn where nothing happens. But to make the game last longer, people played by their own rules. A favorite alternative rule is to have all fines and fees due the bank be diverted to a pot in the center of the board and a player landing directly on the Free Parking space gets the pot.In the 1950s and 1960s, a stylish little car with an air-cooled, rear-mounted engine and a turtle back, bug-eyed profile came to America and broke all our common rules of car design. Referred to as a Beetle by The New York Times, the name caught on and its simple design and uncomplicated engine system mainstreamed its popularity among the American public. It inspired a writer and mechanic to self-publish the definitive guide for Volkswagen owners featuring hand drawn illustration and lettering in easy and fun-to-read language for novice and veteran mechanics alike. Even today, the vintage Volkswagen Beetle remains a cultural icon with an enduring legacy.Auto World replicates this 1963 Volkswagen Beetle in Yukon Yellow, featuring the 1200cc air-cooled four-cyliner engine in the rear and a spare tire under the front bonnet. Its distinctive overall shape is covered with iconic Monopoly graphics with the Free Parking corner space emblazoned on each door. We’ve even included a resin figure of Mr. Monopoly holding a Free Parking sign. You’ve hit the Jackpot!
