In 1946 having never flown in combat the aircraft was transfered to the United States Coast Guard where is served saving people stranded at sea. In 1986 the aircraft was purchased and restored by The Yankee Air Museum in Michigan. The B-17 was given the name Yankee Lady and painted in the style of historic WWII era aircraft. The Yankee Lady is open to the public for flight experience rides.

Albatros D III Postage Stamp Collection Comes with plastic stand Albatros D.III was a biplane fighter aircraft manufactured by Albatros-Flugzeugwerke and used by the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) during World War I. The D.III was flown by many top German aces, including Wilhelm Frankl, Erich Löwenhardt, Manfred von Richthofen, Karl Emil Schäfer, Ernst Udet, and Kurt Wolff. It was the preeminent fighter during the period of German aerial dominance known as "Bloody April" 1917. 1866 planes were built. The upper wingspan was extended, while the lower wing was redesigned with reduced chord and a single main spar. "V" shaped interplane struts replaced the previous parallel struts. For this reason, British aircrews commonly referred to the D.III as the "V-strutter."

The P-38J 23 Skidoo is one of the few Lightings in flying condition. It was restored in July, 1988 with markings of WWII Capt. Perry Dahl's Lightning while he was fighting in the Pacific front. 23 Skidoo is a saying from the 1920s, which refers to "getting out while the getting's good". It is currently based out of the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California.

After joining the war in 1944, the Nine-O-Nine completed 132 consecutive missions without aborting for mechanical reasons or loss of crew, believed to be a record. In all she flew 1,129 hours and dropped 562,000 pounds of bombs before returning to the US at the end of hostilities.The Collings Foundation currently operates a fully restored and operational B-17G in "Nine-O-Nine" colors, in honor of the veterans of the World War II. It is one of the finest B-17 restorations ever done and can be seen at the Wings of Freedom airshow that visits 120 cities nationwide. The crew was rescued and the aircraft abandoned until a 1964 overflight discovered the aircraft to be largely intact. It was recovered in 1995 and restored to a static configuration. It is now displayed at the National World War II Museum in Louisiana.
