Specific to the Shelby is the fiberglass body panels, front bumper, grille, headlights, and 5-scoop NACA duct hood. Built at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, it is thought to be 1 out of 108 GS 455 Stage 1 Buick cars that were painted Burgundy Mist with a white roof. That number includes automatics. It’s also 1 out of only 193 Stage 1 models with a 4-speed that sported the optional air conditioner. Peek at the interior, and you’ll find all-white seats, matching door panels, black carpeting, and a detailed dash.Although in pristine condition, this wasn’t always the case as this gem was hidden away in a shop for a 5-year restoration project. Not for nothing, that long journey paid off. Still with all its original metal, and even better than before, it was entered into the 2021 MCACN show where it scored the emerald-level award with the highest points for a stock Buick. Patriotism flew high and proud as these pure white Mustangs advanced down the assembly line in Dearborn, MI for this one-year-only collector-car. With its bold red, white and blue color scheme, bright blue lambeth cloth interior, and two-tone corinthian vinyl bucket seats, there's no mistaking that this Mustang was truly something special built to capture the hearts of any American. Behind the Mach 1-style grill was Cleveland 351 cubic inch Cobra Jet V8, mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. Producing 266-horsepower, this pony car had plenty of gallop off the line racing towards the gold and a podium finish!
