1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS in Ermine White - Baldwin MotionFeatures Include:• Opening doors and hood• Accurate interior and chassis• Steerable front wheels• Detailed engine Joel Rosen, owner and founder of the famed Motion Performance, in efforts to campaign and get exposure for Baldwin Chevrolet, Motion Supercar Club, and CARS Magazine, entered into the 1967 AHRA Nationals. Unexpectedly, one week before the big day, the Camaro’s L-88 self-destructed during a test run. There was very little time to source a replacement engine. Rosen reached out to Baldwin’s John Mahler who supplied a new 427/425 crate motor originally destined for a showroom street car. After installing, tuning and breaking it in, this Camaro was the first car Rosen raced repping these powerhouse names in supercar lore. As a result of setting two national records, he accomplished what he set out to do—launching Baldwin-Motion’s SS 427 Camaro program and bringing more traffic into Baldwin Chevrolet and Motion Performance.

Adding to its distinction, this 1969 Shelby GT-500 is fully-documented as one of the first 100 built. Under the hood is the original Cobra Jet V8 with the VIN to match. Specific to the Shelby is the fiberglass body panels, front bumper, grille, headlights, and 5-scoop NACA duct hood. Built at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, it is thought to be 1 out of 108 GS 455 Stage 1 Buick cars that were painted Burgundy Mist with a white roof. That number includes automatics. It’s also 1 out of only 193 Stage 1 models with a 4-speed that sported the optional air conditioner. Peek at the interior, and you’ll find all-white seats, matching door panels, black carpeting, and a detailed dash.Although in pristine condition, this wasn’t always the case as this gem was hidden away in a shop for a 5-year restoration project. Not for nothing, that long journey paid off. Still with all its original metal, and even better than before, it was entered into the 2021 MCACN show where it scored the emerald-level award with the highest points for a stock Buick. Of those, merely 200 are accounted for today and about 12 were painted Royal Plum accented with white sport stripes on the hood and deck lid. Most interestingly, this exceptional muscle machine is the only one known to still exist. It rolls on four Rally wheels with redline polyglass tires. Under the hood is the meticulously-detailed 302 Turbo Fire engine throwing power to the 4-speed Muncie transmission.
